Spectacular Finale at Cathay Malls’ Epic Eater 2016

A spectacular maki speed-eating showdown took place at the Finals of Cathay Malls’ first Epic Eater 2016. Competitors challenged themselves to wolf down four Maki-San rolls as fast as they possibly can.

Jimmy ate his way into speed-eating glory with an unbelievable timing of 2 minutes and 20 seconds. He walked away with the grand prize of S$1,000 in cash and more than S$300 worth of Cathay Malls’ movie vouchers and Maki-San vouchers.

Local professional competitive eaters, Zermatt Neo (28) and Sarah Ow (28) also flaunted their jaw-dropping eating prowess as they participated in an eating showcase at the finals. Eating his way into the Singapore Book of Records, Zermatt gobbled a total of eight maki rolls in an astounding 6 minutes and 14 seconds, cementing his position as Singapore’s Fastest Eating of Sushi.
