Missed out on the previous edition of The Handy-Craft Market? Not to worry, The Cathay is back with yet another instalment of its highly anticipated craft market happening on 5 and 6 August 2017. In conjunction with National Day, The Cathay will be bringing the ultimate throwback to your childhood days, with lots of local spirit to go around!
At this year’s edition of The Handy-Craft Market, the uniquely 90s-themed event will evoke a sense of nostalgia with larger-then-life childhood game stations, such as super-sized versions of country erasers, five stones and everybody’s favourite hopscotch. Young or old, here’s your chance to compete and showcase your talents that have long been hidden away and get your school report card (games score card) filled out as well to get a chance to pick a prize at our mystery box!

Remember to look out for your favourites such as the Traditional Ice Cream Cart (12pm to 3pm) and Muah Chee Live Station (3pm to 6pm) that will be serving up nostalgic local food treats. If you’re itching for an old school bite, get ready to indulge in popular snacks such as Haw Flakes, White Rabbit candies, Wang Wang and Mamee which will be available for all to pick up from at the iconic Dragon Playground Wheelbarrow.

Additionally, shopaholics can get their hands on handcrafted pieces created by local vendors – ranging from skincare to jewellery and ceramic products.
