ARTSY MUSEUM TOUR
Gone are the days when museums are just about display of artefacts and rows and rows of texts. These days, art installations in museums are interactive, immersive and tell stories through multi- sensory manners!
National Museum of Singapore
Story Of The Forest Exhibition
This immersive installation is divided into three key experiences, beginning with the Upper Rotunda, followed by The Passage and ending at the Lower Rotunda.
Drawing inspiration from the National Museum of Singapore’s prized William Farquhar Collection of Natural History Drawings, Story of the Forest brings to life 69 drawings from the collection within the museum’s Glass Rotunda.
Did we mention? The flora and fauna are totally Instagram worthy!
The Cathay Gallery
Located at level 2 of The Cathay, the gallery is a hidden gem, and great hide-out for a quiet moment to delve into the celebrated history of movie-making, including movie costumes from the heyday, vintage cinema seats, and cameras.
Take a moment to also watch clips of horror film represent of the 50s, Pontianak and the wildly popular Chinese films of the 50s.
ARTSY WALL MURALS
There’s a piece of Melbourne in Singapore where artists express their work of art and expressions on the walls of the streets, legally.
They’re vibrant and screams fun and spunk. Take a walk down Waterloo and Queen Street and you’ll discover these little pocket of surprises.
Dazzle your Instagram followers with an OOTD taken against these beautiful wall murals. Pretty sure you’ll receive a comment or two on where the photos were taken.
