Great Singapore Sale (9 Jun – 13 Aug)
It’s the most magical time of the year for the shopaholics! All that fab deals, steals and irresistible bargains that make shopping heaps more therapeutic. The only time really that you’re actually making money while buying things!
Time to hit the malls for a much needed therapy sesh. In case you need some convincing, HERE are some reasons why shopping is good for you (it’s scientifically proven).
Ultra Music Festival (10 & 11 Jun)
Where the party people at? The rave wave is once again hitting our sunny shores, this time it’s Ultra Singapore! The world’s premier electronic music festival boasting world class DJs with unparalleled stage designs and top tier production.
Dedicated to the best of electronic dance music including trance, EDM, electronic and techno acts, with a stellar lineup including Dash Berlin, Hardwell, Steve Aoki, Tiesto, Showtek and more, expect nothing short of 2 days of euphoric fun!
Ink & Cut (24 & 25 Jun)
Gone are the days of men wearing rigid, monotone corporate suits and ties because the look of the modern-day gentlemen has evolved as we know it. Men today are rocking flannel shirts and growing their beards out, a sheer testament to the revolution that’s taken over the world one drip coffee at a time. But every true dapper dan worth his two-tone brogues knows that he is nothing without his barber and tattoo artist – the inimitable go-to team that maketh the gentleman.
This first ever pop-up event will be helmed by Singapore’s first modern traditional barbershop – The Hounds of The Baskervilles and popular local tattoo studio – Gimmelove Tattoo. Shoppers at The Cathay can redeem a complimentary haircut/ styling or shave by simply spending a minimum of S$50 (maximum of two same-day receipt). For those who’re game enough, get a mystery tattoo for the same spending!
Baybeats (14 – 16 Jul)
Music buffs, gear up, the biggest music festival of its kind in Singapore and the region – Baybeats is back! Expect three days packed with the best of indie rock and alternative music on the bay, featuring prominent Singapore and international acts!
So get ready for some eargasm, and to rock on!
The Handy-Craft Market (5 & 6 Aug)
Go local at The Handy-Craft Market this National Day. Held at The Cathay, at Handy Road (thus the name, get it?) and back for the 2nd year, expect an eclectic mix of home-grown brands, designers and craft makers at this specially curated flea market.
What better time to soak up all the nostalgic vibes, and relive childhood memories than an old school fun fair? Besides getting your dose of local independent goods, have some nostalgic fun at the carnival games booths as well! You could just win yourself some fab movie, retail and F&B vouchers or take home some special gifts!
So whoever said Singapore is boring obviously have not got these down in your calendars.
