Get In The Mood For Spook

Surely, we are not the only ones who’re totes excited that the scariest time of the year is looming near right?

Whether you’re going trick or treating, hitting the clubs to party with the ghouls or unleashing your inner she-devil by dressing up, there’s nothing like braving through horror houses to feed that fear fetish.

This Halloween, Cathay Malls challenge the bold and the brave to explore the Horror Haunt: School of Horrors. Make your way through spine-chilling school-themed rooms to uncover clues that can help solve the mystery of the death of a school girl.

It all started with a school night walk gone wrong and a girl was found dismembered in the school toilet, with her eye balls gouged out. The case was classified as an unnatural death and remains unsolved to this day.

Years after her death, students have reported hearing a girl crying in the hallways. Some students have even felt someone brush past them or tap their shoulders while walking alone down the corridors. Most say her spirit still haunts the school grounds to this day. We say it’s just her looking for someone to continue the night walk with.

Head on down to the Horror Haunt: School of Horrors from 18 to 22 October 2017 at The Cathay and from 26 to 29 October 2017 at Cathay Cineleisure Orchard. To enter, each shopper simply has to present a minimum of $5 same-day receipt from The Cathay or Cathay Cineleisure Orchard, or a ticket stub from Cathay Cineplexes. Otherwise, each shopper can choose to pay $10 to enter the haunted school grounds.

A great reward awaits those who manage to solve the mystery of the dead school girl. The first 75 people per day who is successful in their mission will each win a Cathay Cineplexes movie voucher.

Who knows what you’ll find? May the bravest of the living step forth to bring the girl’s soul to rest and restore peace to the school grounds. Be warned though, enter if you dare!
