MATCHAYA (#01-08)
We tell you why we’ve fallen head over heels for this newly opened matcha dessert shop at The Cathay. Expect silky smooth soft serves with fragrant matcha scent and flavour with the perfect level of sweetness, elevated with delightful range of toppings to add a variation of textures including mochi, shiratama and goma crisps.
You know it’s faultless when each flavour on the menu went through at least 100 taste tests before its soft launch to the public for feedback and further tweaking if necessary. Besides, raw ingredients are organic- certified with no preservatives and minimal sugar added.
We officially declare, we love Matchaya very matcha! Yay!
THUMB COFFEE (#01-24)
Thumbs up for Thumb Coffee for marrying our love for coffee and dessert into one perfect cuppa! The raved dessert chain from Korea has finally hit our sunny shore, right at the entrance of The Cathay!
Its patented cup design comes with a smart little concaved pocket on its cover, perfect for a piece of mini treat. For a lovely bitter sweet symphony, try their signature Americano with a mini cake.
You know where to go for an afternoon perk me up, and sweet fix!
ICEKO KOREAN DESSERTS (#B1-24)
The glamorous cousin of our local ice- kachang is all the rage right now! This Korean shaved ice dessert allows you to select from an exciting array of colourful flavors and toppings!
It’s not just refreshingly delish, this bowl of Korean shaved goodness is perfect for our island’s sweltering heat, and an Instagram darling too!
Located at the basement of The Cathay, ICEKO offers a variety of bingsu flavors including Chocolate Bingsu, Injeolmi (rice cake) Bingsu, Strawberry Bingsu and more!

ICREPE (#05-02)
They say we eat with our eyes first. Charmingly thin and golden crepe, packed with all our favorite ingredients and toppings are a feast to the eyes and our palate.
You can’t go wrong with a good o’l French crepe to satisfy all your sugary desires, and send you reeling from yummy awesomeness.
If you haven’t already know, you can get a crepe from ICREPE, to enjoy it while watching a movie at The Cathay Cineplex!
