MALAM Projection Mapping Competition

Discover the absolute best of Southeast Asia’s projection-mapping scene at MALAM. Serving as the inaugural projection-mapping competition for the Singapore Night Festival, MALAM showcases bold visual storytelling, creative innovation, and digital artistry. Submissions from talented artists across the region come to life on the historic façade of The Cathay, transforming the iconic landmark into a spectacular celebration of regional creativity.

Billboard Paint by Numbers

Drawing inspiration from the 1950s and 1960s golden age of Singapore cinema, students across the three institutions (SOTA, LASALLE, NAFA) interpret the theme “Myths and Legends”, examining and honouring the varied cinematic traditions of the region alongside the craft of hand-painted film billboards. 

Located at The Cathay outdoor concourse, you are invited to help finish the artwork via the painting supplies provided on-site.
