Coffee Recipes To Try At Home

COFFEE RECIPES TO TRY AT HOME

Dalgona Coffee is all the rage right now, but that’s not the only DIY coffee you can do at home! Here’re some simple recipes you can try. Certainly will not match the experience of sitting in a café, people watching while enjoying a cuppa, but they sure are good enough substitutes for now!

 

DALGONA COFFEE

 
INGREDIENTS:
3 tablespoons of instant coffee
2 tablespoon of sugar
400 to 500ml milk
3 tablespoons of boiling water

STEPS:
1. Whisk the coffee, sugar and boiling water for approximately 5 minutes until mixture is thick and fluffy with stiff peaks

2. Pour milk into two glasses (for hot coffee, heat the milk first)

3. Divide the coffee mixture into half and spoon evenly on top of the glasses

4. Stir and mix thoroughly before drinking

AFFOGATO

 
INGREDIENTS:
1 shot of espresso or 3 tablespoons strong brewed coffee
2 small scoops of ice cream (coffee, chocolate or vanilla flavor)
Dark chocolate or hazelnuts (optional)

STEPS:
1. Place ice cream into a coffee cup

2. Pour the coffee in

3. Top with shaved dark chocolate or chopped hazelnuts (optional)

MOCHA

 
INGREDIENTS:
1 shot of espresso
250ml of milk
1 teaspoon of chocolate

STEPS:
1. Pour the coffee into a coffee cup

2. Add chocolate and mix well until smooth

3. Steam the milk and pour it into the cup

IRISH COFFEE

 
Not exactly your morning perk-me-up, but a decadent finale to dinner.

INGREDIENTS:
2 tablespoons of double cream
150ml of black coffee
50ml of Irish Whiskey
1 teaspoon of brown sugar
Nutmeg (optional)

STEPS:
1. Lightly whip the cream, just so it’s slightly thickened

2. Pour the hot coffee into a cup

3. Add the Whiskey and sugar and stir until the sugar dissolves

4. Pour the cream over the coffee

5. Top with nutmeg (optional)

FRAPPE

 
INGREDIENTS:
200ml strong coffee
50ml whole milk
1 to 3 tablespoons sugar syrup
2 to 3 handful of ice cubes
Whipped cream or ice cream to serve (optional)

STEPS:
1. Pour the coffee, milk, ice cubes and sugar into a blender

2. Blend to a slush consistency

3. Pour into glass

4. Add ice cream or whipped cream (optional)
